SUBJECT: Own Company Project
The Company I want to create is Shoebill Games, a
video game company. The motivation to create this company began at the
university.
The main activity of the company will be developing
video games for pc. The pc community is bigger than the console community and
more critical. This is good for the company because it helps us improve our
products and our company. I would like to develop a Rogue like video game but
for now I can’t say what kind of video game we will do. Nowadays there are a lot
of types.
The better places for a video game company are located
in Madrid and Barcelona. There are most of these companies are located there, so the idea is to locate
Shoebill Games in one of these two communities. To get started we don’t need a
big place because it will be a group of three partners.
These days, developing video games is not cheap. For
this reason we can’t start with a very ambitious, big and expensive project. The idea with the first project is not to spend more than 350.000€.
Furthermore, we will not only have the cost of this first project; we will have
the expenses for creating the company and the place where it will be located.
So the expenses will increase.
To recover the money invested I think it would take
eighteen months more or less. This is an estimate because we don’t know how the first video game will be accepted.
